To start off with, I did not like this show. Sure, Gabe's parts were alright but I feel he may have been held back by the show's scripting (He can be pretty vulgar so I can understand why). I found the students and staff characters to be pretty dull. I thought the (single) white teacher to be pretty dull especially, just a generic gullible character. I also disliked the parts when she finds out her fiance is cheating on her, as it mostly seemed like a sexist attack on men (not surprising in the current climate of movies and shows). Then the show attacks white people, making a subliminal hint at "white privilege." Basically what happened is that she was grading students on oral reports when one student saw her stretching to ease her back. The student got nervous because the teacher, named Abby, forgot to put her name on she was so forgettable, is an admittedly attractive woman. Gabe explained why she can't give the real report to Oscar from The Office because then the student wouldn't pass and would be expelled. She says she will lie to him and that, you guessed it, anothe men-are-bad joke, men lie all the time. Cut to the scene where they are in the administration office and Abby confesses to her lie, saying quote "I can't do it." Gabe responds with, "Abby, you're white, you can do anything," obviously hinting at nonexistent white privilege and making racist jabs at white people. Overall, this show is kind of unlikable. The characters are bland and the humor falls flat, and my biggest gripe, the sexist and racist remarks towards men and white people. Keep in mind, this review is my opinion only, so if you disagree, you don't need to throw a hissie fit about it.
