JUST GET TO THE DARN POINT!!!!! This series is like watching a train wreck in super slow motion. The lead starts off much like many in Netflix female lead series, running away from some destiny only to have those they love suffer for their decision. No problem there. Cast introductions and plot building are part of the game, so let's see where this leads. Merlin is wickedly charming... at first but then he, and the rest of this series play the most mind numbing game of ring around the damn Rosie ever viewed. By episode 5 you're like, okay I made it this far, surely the payoff will be worth it ... NOPE! It's one tired troupe after the next. Nimue's stubborn brashness becomes stupidity as her exceptionally poor decision making results I'm her people's slaughter. Merlin goes from troubled trickster to spineless beggar and shadow of former self. Morgana is just another version of Nimue but with slightly more strategic prowess, Gwain is awesome, and the Queen Mother Regent was fun as was her demise, but sitting through 10 hours of uneventful sub par sword and magic is too much to ask.
