I'd call this a shameless cash grab if it wasn't for the whole "randomly giving away an obscene money that the winners have done nothing to earn" thing.
Almost every game was pure chance, the interactions between contestants felt incredibly forced to the point of either being scripted or at least heavily, heavily coached by producers, and the games that were introduced were just... Boring.
Like seriously (spoilers) they literally cut the Squid Game out of Squid Game. It's not a good game to begin with, but what they replaced it with was just as bafflingly bad. The final 3 are decided through a deception game that at least required some semblance of skill and strategy, but then the game to decide the final 2 was a game of chance. Then the final was a game of chance stacked on top of another game of chance. I'm not even convinced the games weren't rigged, because they could decide the winners so easily in any of those games.
The final scene teases another season, and I hope to god the lawsuits and backlash from this one prevent that from happening, because this was honestly the worst reality gameshow I've ever watched.
