Brown is keen to dismiss most of the descriptions about Robert the Bruce as ‘codswallop’ in the Introduction of the book but agrees he died in 1327. Then, on the very next page (page 8), he confirms he died in 1329. Clearly Brown does not regard ‘accuracy’ for the reader is all that important?
It does make you think how much of the rest of his book is wholly accurate if the very first 2 pages show a lack of it!?
