As a fan of the series since the 90s, I like it more than the awful GT, which was nothing more than a terrible attempt at continuing a series, foolishly doing so without the creator of the series. Basically, GT is fanfiction, Super is made by the creator of Z and dragon ball. And many other beloved manga.

The series is canon, infact its mentioned in the newest game DMC5, but even as an anime with no context the show is good. If you are a fan you'll love it instantly, if not, you will be after you finish it. THe story of Tony Redgrave... I mean Dante, is a great one, these are just some of many stories in his life. DOnt listen to the reviewer below me, hes asking for fan service, not a good show.
