SPOILER WARNING !!!!!
1st off way to ruin ppl’s childhood hero…the story from the start was rushed and the character’s personality were forced. 1st flaw…He-man’s death in the 1st episode, after a decade we get to see HE-MAN again and before even if can enjoy the character or its growth, he is just killed off. It was not even a meaningful death, he death was a means to an end. Secondly post he-man’s death I understand’s Adam’s father (King’s rage) because he treated his son badly and now he lost him but Teela’s rage overpowering even the King’s made no sense. I mean ya Adam hid a secret from her buty it affected her so much that she left her career & kingdom which she relished & protected for years. Also mind you she was looking forward to protect Eternia for as long as she can remember. 3rd instead of seeing & fleshing out how all the characters go through the grief, we get a time skip in the freaking 2nd episode…We are suddenly on a journey with Teela…I lover her partner, she seemed like the only sensible chracter & even she was sidelined.
Also I am all for LGBTQ but it just seemed so forced. I am okay with Adam being gay & Teela being a lesbian but I mean why not instead of rushing it, build up the story and then connect the relations together. Castlevania also had bisexual relations but they did it so well. I mean we all came for HE-Man and he died twice in 5 episodes and we hardly got to see him.
Instead they could have easily made Teela and Adam co-leads & then flesh out the LGBTQ relations.
Also fyi I rarely write reviews, let alone such lengthy ones. It just was nso disappointing that I had to write it.
