Excellent sci-fi political drama... Set in the future with several factions, interesting characters with different motivations... all in the unknown of space, with cool ships and alien issues to contend with, The Expanse has one of the better plot themes that I've seen so far. Seasons 1 and 2 are an excellent riveting story, introducing you to the characters and weaving an intricate cloth of political intrigue and mysterious alien goings-on. Seasons 3 and 4 are a continuation, but the story goes in a completely different direction. With the plot giving more time to more than just the main characters and the alien spoils being the motivation for the human race, we find ourselves concerned with survival, colonization, and ownership rights to things that don't belong to anyone... reminiscent to the wild frontier when the US was the undiscovered world. I'm really looking forward to the next season to find what The Expanse has to offer. :-)
