Tanya Tucker was from a different age and I really appreciated going back in time with her, listening to her old songs and being a part of her journey through this documentary. I also loved seeing her come back, seeing where she is and the struggles she continues to face as a performer and one with an addictive coping need. It's all very complicated and not a life most people could handle gracefully. The documentary is not for everyone, the old saying absolutely stands true...you can't please everyone. Brandi Carlile and all of the crew did a wonderful job, and there is no doubt she is capitalizing (she is responsible), but she is passionate in bringing past icon's back to the front, I've watched her now do it with Joni Mitchell and now with Tanya Tucker, she has a very good business sense that ties in very well with her emotional sense and I do believe the past generations of musicians are going in eyes wide open.
