I too have been a devoted Daniel Silva and Gabriel Allon fan for many years; eagerly anticipating and relishing each new book. They have all been outstanding. Until this one. While I enjoyed the Cellist, the experience was tainted, almost ruined, by the personal politics that took over the storyline near the end. Why? For his next book, I pray Mr. Silva will return to his old (and loved) form he showed in the previous 20 Gabriel Allon books.
