Dear John Suchet, Your radio concert this evening 4/2/22 taught me[ that you were playing "Sorisory" i.e. Music intended to invoke a smile. The word stems from Italian "smile" "Sorriso" I first used it in 1992 in my book "Cathedral Sorisory". Then just recently I made a collection of my humorous light verse about Judges and the law. "Judicial Sorisory".
Listening to you this evening I realised that Sorisory applied to music as well as verse . Music and Sorisory are closely intertwined because I have set some of my verses (sorisas) to music.
I enjoy your concerts almost every night. Would you consider referring to the music you play to invoke a smile as Sorisory? Kind regards Susan F R Roome
