This is one of the most tone deaf movies. It feels like almost all of the dialogue is improvised and it seems to romanticize addiction/trauma. Almost all of the scenes between Ortega and Ziegler feel like they wrote them 15 minutes before call time. If this was an attempt at cinematic activism it was WAY off. Ortegaโs character is almost a blatant rip off of A-24โs Rue from Euphoria. Also Shailene Woodleyโฆew.
