I didn’t want to watch this movie because I had no desire to see a cartoon. However, my sister-in-law kept pressing, so my wife and I relented. The movie is fantastic. It is certainly entertaining, but most importantly, it provides a message that Americans desperately need now. We cannot reduce a culture or an individual to a label, even if that label is positive. We need to know the entire person. I love the diversity in the movie. As Americans, we currently seem to be afraid of diversity, but this is what makes us rich. If we don’t open our eyes to our blessing of being a cultural melting pot, we will lose our magic as a nation. Great, great movie.
