I thought the movie was awesome with just the right combination of reality, which is as harsh as it gets… and a sense of humor to make it bearable. Granted, every family is different and every family will be a totally different experience, but this was a nice snapshot of some of the things that these families go through. I think that this movie is also an awesome advertisement for people who might have been afraid to adapt foster kids. It gives a real-life glimpse at what is happening, but there is love and hope… and a happy ending in most cases. I thought that it was awesome to see glimpses of other families in the "support group". It is a tough world out there and adapting these kids is harder than having your own kids and in the eyes of the law one is expected to be a perfect parent, compared to all of the biological parents. I laughed and I cried. It is an awesome real-life movie.
