The outrage over this game's story and characters is honestly some of the most ridiculous criticism I've ever seen, of any game. The people giving this a 1 star review are either lying to you, or completely incapable of feeling empathy for others. This is a story about flawed people in a post-apocalyptic world. It forces you to question how you perceive people. It refuses to let you take them at face value. I've never seen a game like this approach a complex subject in the way that it does, and that alone makes it worth playing in my eyes. And of course, mechanically and technologically it's top notch. The game is very lengthy (my playthrough took about 30 hours) and the world is richly detailed. It's a brutal game and it doesn't shy away from violence, but in my opinion it's one of the very best games on the PS4.
