One of the finest Westerns of all time. Still cannot figure out who was better... the great Kirk Douglas or the incomparable Anthony Quinn. What a story! It was action happening right in front of my eyes in reality.. Those were the golden days of motion pictures making. Truly magnificent. Who is there to make such movies like this one today? Or can you find people KIrk and Quinn to star in them? That era is dead. Now we have AI robots to do the work. How sad. I keep seeing these classics over and over again relive the past of this great country called the United States.

What an actor! William Holden at his best. I have always loved this handsome American from when I was a child in 1962 when this great film was first released. Do we get to see films like this one these days? I forgot myself while I was watching this. It was real action happening in front of my eyes. Not to speak of LIlli Palmer who did the role of her life. Truly convincing. How I miss my Hollywood. Sad they don't make movies like The Counterfeit Traitor anymore.

Where is this movie now? I cannot see it on You Tube, Daily Motion or anywhere. I will always cherish this movie just for the music of the great MSV Sar. And of course that small cameo role of comedian Chandrababu who plays as a pickpocket trying to impersonate as the long lost son found. Only he could talk like a typical auto driver from Triplicane, Madras. If anyone can tell me where to watch this movie, please let me know.
