I honestly only finished it because of leo yunxi. His performance is absolutely stunning. His emotion that he is capable of portraying is stunning. I wish the story wasn't that depressing. It honestly dragged in many parts and I had to skip. I was not satisfied with the storyline or the ending. I found myself getting annoyed at the actress for her decisions. To the point where I found her heartless and cruel in how she treated fishy. (I do need to mention this was my first work I saw with Leo so its not a bias.) This just wasn't it for me and I had higher expectations. Many people speak highly of this show but in many conversations with people online, they felt the same as me. So its hard to say who will or won't like it.

As someone that grew up in the hassidic community and went through many of the same things, I can very much relate to the accuracy of this production. I think it needed to be made for people to understand the community as even I find myself at a loss when trying to explain where I came from. It is true that it is not all bad, but people that are "different" or ask too many questions.... even if you don't break any rules but you don't go with the "norm"...you will be shunned. Starting a new life in your late teens or 20 is extremely difficult. Navigating through so many things you have zero knowledge about is indescribable. I was so happy to see so many people enjoying this production as well as feeling for the characters.
