Just watched the film! Truly Award winning! VERY REAL like how you've been on a trip to Srilanka and how you'd treat your spouse, your relationship with everyone, work, beliefs, politics WHEN YOU'RE PRIVILEGED. And it came to shock which I'm sure will haunt me for quite some time now! Again, very real everything acting, dialogues and how it'd have ideally happened but with a real twist! Go on for a peaceful trip to Srilanka in the first half and a thriller in the second half...

First of all, its a close friend's story and screenplay. So an objective review; First of all this movie hasn't failed us on that one failure for all sports movies. The actors who can never match the pro players. Maybe the only exception is Shia's "Greatest Game ever played". Aaha's sport; Tug of war scenes aren't a failure. The team, actors, camera all did justice to the sport. What's Great 1. Vadamvali (Tug of war) has felt real 2. Camera Good 1. Performance by actors 2. Feel good factor Bad 1. There are unwanted elements in the movie 2. May a song could have been avoided Overall it's a feel good, apt for theatre. Hope You'll enjoy the movie with its few small shortcomings.

Suraj reminded me of my father with childish demands and small fights - his way of love - makes me think, be aware and accept it! The movie is a brilliant psychological move (Pun for mallus), where a father son relationship and the need of parents to be accepted beautifully woven into a robot story which will get the attention. If this was portrayed as a father son relationship story, no one would have cared, but this is absolute fun through which a serious message is passed on to the audience. The movie experience was like this - fun in the theater, a heavy heart after the movie, a little more consideration towards your parents.

It had air of mystery from the beginning. A very realistic depiction of a typical mallu self-righteous men. The main character Dharman always reminded us of an impending mis-happening. But as powerless the characters are, they did take the normal route of daily wager being easy woman but turns out, as it originally is, real strong. What's always felt throughout the movie was the air of caste based, untold, air of arrogance and acceptance of the lower caste (again really observed even today) to accept disrespect. Finally, the movie proves how silly the lives of a lower caste is taken SUBCONSCIOUSLY, so deep rooted in the society, maybe timely connected to the massive failure of communist party as well.
