Kalank, a Karan Johar movie. When I say its a Karan johar movie, we should bring back the memories of all his films. Kalank is no different. A movie full of beautiful set, beautiful songs, beautiful costumes, beautiful characters and a beautiful story entwining the tale of each one's desires, emotions and love. Its a musical quest to find the happiness and love on a journey of hate and revenge. The most beautiful part of the movie is how the director introduces hira mandi into Roop's life. Sequence of the song and the entry of protagonist look so beautiful together. How hira mandi is labelled as lanka and how the ravana of hatred dies when siya (Roop) enters lanka is a scene to cherish. This is a movie you need to watch with your emotions and your love for lyrics entact. Love and Hatred, they both need effort to grow and once grown they can change the course of life. Zafar lends his hatred to abdul and roop lends her love to zafar. Begam bahar lends her love to roop and balraj lends his hatred to zafar. Kalank is a tale of Love conquers all. Chemistry of Alia and Varun is beautiful. They have done full justice to the character. Madhuri dixit portrays the character who has fallen in love eternally to someone who could not accept her love (Kalank). Sonakshi and aditya roy have both done justice to their character. They both have the calm, composed, practical, humble and righteous characters. Its our choice if we let our love pave its way to glory or let it die and become a blot, A KALANK !!! 4.5 out of 5
