I don’t mean to sound unkind to the lady that play the new ‘dark Phoenix ‘ but I am Autistic with adhd and change is very hard for me. I think the lady who plays ‘Gene’ in the older version is just perfect and I was disappointed it wasn’t her in the new one. Admittedly half of that is my ASD making me super sensitive to, well, just life really as I said But the other half of me really wasn’t impressed 🙂 I couldn’t even watch the new one in the end! I’m such a melt at times 😂 The problem with films like this, is that when they make/ Film,the first one of their kind? the story at times has not actually been completed or the historical events in the story not always documented along the way so then it’s left to the new producer etc to use imagination and fill in the blanks so people are bound to think differently the person on the until the story or characters are played so well, that actually, you can’t imagine that role being played by any one else 🙂
