The beginning of the book was really engaging to me. I could relate to Lily and Ryle and felt they really embodied their personalities. The writing style got a little bit boring for me and the way the characters were introduced felt basic. Also some of the relationships in this book felt rushed especially the marriage between lily and Ryle. The book showed no indepth knowledge for each other and their love stemmed from mostly physical attraction. Unlike Lily and Ryle's relationship I really appreciate the relationship between Atlas and Lily. I think it was way more mature.I also think lily could have taken more time with Ryle, we know they were dating for a lil while though but it felt like they barely knew each other. Asking random questions about charity, kids and what not isn't enough to commit to someone. All in all this book didn't make me cry. I think what made me the most emotional was when I read the author's note. I feel this story could have been fleshed out alot better. I will admit that there are plot twists and moments I found brilliant and quotes that stood out to me. Will I end up re-read ING this probably not but I see myself going back to specific places again. Lastly I would give the sex scenes a 2/5
