Terrible. I haven't read the book so I can't compare the two but this series was just pathetic. The concept is intriguing and I was really looking forward to watching it but I would have been better just playing it out in my head. A lot of the dialogue is shockingly bad and some of the editing just leaves you scratching your head. Whilst most of the performances were pretty good, James Franco was terrible as the lead. Half of the storyline is needless filler and there wasn't a single character developed to a point where I could care what happened to them. Maybe some decent writers and a lead actor who could actually emote would have made this better. Wasted opportunity!
