After taking in all the seasons I can't help but be ANGRY at all the people who attacked reviewed this series so badly to the point of getting it cancelled. Cancel culture hit this show so bad when it had so many good things going for it. Tackling social justice issues and having a strong black cast was to much for the United States and the CW I suppose. Yes this show suffers from the same thing EVERY CW hero show suffers from with the overly soap opera, drama and semi cheesy effects with comical action scenes at points. That aside Black Lightning deserves a 10 from me for the masterful ability to tackle social issues with police and minorities no other show will touch. Black lightning is a role model and a strong but flawed figure that makes it easy truly connect with the character and his struggles. Jefferson Pierce and Black Lighting. Not to mention Tobias Whales. Wow what a performance. He plays the role of villain beautifully. I loved hating him the entire series. Honestly, when compared to Arrow, The Flash, Smallville. This show pulls it's weight. Not to mention the lack of crossover support from the studio did not help it one bit! The studio did Black Lightning dirty just like the WB did Static Shock. The studios cannot get behind a strong black leading cast and it shows. All in all, you guys have to see this show if your into the CW superhero shows. Its a shockingly great addition to the Hero line up. It's just sad when a studio doesn't support a show as hard as it does In the words of the great Jefferson Pierce "Everyone deserves a second chance." Long live Black Lightning and Static Shock ⚡ ✊🏻
