I will preface this by saying two things- 1- I feel 2 stars is too harsh, but 3 stars is too generous and there is no 2.5 star option 2- I am currently 22 years of age, and I am fully aware that this show was not made for me, I loved this season as a kid, and I can understand why kids would enjoy this season. This season is wasted potential. Any character development that is shown throughout the show, is removed by the final episode. Kira remained a bland musician, Trent remained the quiet, reserved artist, Ethan remained a nerd, Tommy remained a guy who's personality revolves around him being a ranger, and Conner... Conner is still a prick. Hell, while he ends up with tree girl in the prom scene, the previous episode still had him categorising women into looks and personality, he didn't grow, and he wasn't a strong leader. Hayley was an unnecessary character who was poorly acted and sounded bored 90% of the time. Devon actually had the most growth throughout the show, to where he almost became his own person, and tried to separate himself from being Cassidys lackey... until the final 2 episodes where he asks her, the girl who has been treating him awfully all season, to the prom. She also had wasted development, she said she'd be a better person after she went on the date with Ethan, then continued to be an awful person. Mesogog was a really cool and creepy villain who did absolutely nothing all season, the rangers never fought him at all, until the final episode. His generals, Zeltrax and Elsa were irrelevant, Elsa being Principal Randall was wasted, they did nothing with her character, and the rangers just decided to automatically trust her in the final 2 episodes when Mesogog took her powers. Zeltrax was just an annoyance that kept showing up for no reason. Whilst the show is for kids, and I am not a kid, I still feel like that isn't an excuse for poor quality. All seasons of power rangers are for kids, but there are some seasons that I love, that are still for kids, but are actually well written, like Time Force, or Lightspeed Rescue, or S.P.D.
