Non-stop actions, plenty of light saber duels, and spectacular CGI battles - these are the trademark of Star Wars' Rise of Skywalker. However, the storyline is a repeat of cliché found in past episodes, e.g. redemption and evil ‘turning a new leaf’. Without giving away the spoiler, this movie lacks originality, and at times it is downright boring. Element of shocker is not that shocking at all, as to reveal of Rey’s origin. Bringing back the all-stars cast does not help either. Regardless, the movie is still entertaining, and worth going out to see at the theaters, but it is definitely not a favorite of Star Wars saga.
