I want to commend Emily for her unwavering love and support for Luke, who lost it all when he didn't get the promotion because he hadn't made up his mind to prioritize relationships over greed. Envy caused him to lose the mental struggle, which propelled him down a path of bitterness and hatred against Emily, who was in love with him. I think Luke ought to have taken Emily's advice and gone. That would have kept him and his partner together.
