Episode 1 - almost made it 20 minutes in and not sure if I can watch much further. Instantly this appeared to be a show marketed toward younger teens. The main two cheerleader characters are too over the top and it just doesn't translate into believable characters.
I'm going to try and stick it out a bit longer and see if I can make it through the whole first episode because I see a lot of positive reviews but I just don't know that i am in the same audience as those reviewers.
I already saw the series was cancelled after the first season so the poor hook, acting/directing/scripting, and lack of believability don't bode well for future episodes crossing my tv screen.
.....
Well I made it about 10 more minutes and that was that. One students mother, a police officer arrives to give a ride home from school with her siren on and takes her daughter home in the police car. Seems like she should be charged with a couple of offences. Then the cheerleading coach has a one-on-one training session with one student and drives her home and engages in an appropriate teacher-student conversation that also just wouldn't/shouldn't happen. Sorry, it's just not believable.
