This is possibly the worst show I've ever seen. Horrible writing, characters, and production. It kept feeling like I had been dropped into the episode in the middle with no Idea what was supposed to be happening.

At first I was like, gee where I have seen a movie about a town with a shark problem that has an out of touch mayor that cares more for commerce than public safety. Mâchoires. But then about two thirds through I realized what a thinly veiled rightwing propaganda piece this was. Anti immigration, misogyny, and fear of the younger generation trying to save the planet all rolled into one giant metaphor. A species that doesn't "belong" comes to town and won't stop breeding. It's all complete with the childish, one dimensional hidden message "be careful what you wish for you silly liberals these interlopers will overrun your city and eat you alive". And of course they do. Based on recent election results in France I'd say I've hit the shark on the head.

Kohrra is an excellent crime drama and so much more. The cinematography is beautiful. The characters are complex, personally challenged and human. The story is top notch with a slow subtle unwinding, never insulting. It deals not only with the crime at hand but weaves into it the dual edge nature of police work with modern social media and class conflicts. It is right up there with The Wire and True Detective. A must watch for any crime drama fans.

Corny. A vast array of ever changing accents. I thought it was a Monty Python movie at first.

The writing, ensemble acting and cinematography are pure genius. The cast is such an excellent blend of interesting yet balanced characters. I thought maybe it was based on a graphic novel because of the way it was filmed. Every shot is like a little masterpiece. Almost like a still photograph set in motion.
