An insult to the original. One of those films you laugh at because every action is the opposite of what anyone would do in the real world. The characters are uninteresting and don't serve much purpose beyond a 'good' death scene, with some nice woke archetypes thrown in to fit modern standards (that they proudly and repeatedly point out themselves in the script, just in case you hadn't noticed) The story itself is a perfect blend of being equally uninteresting and downright silly. The 'twist' stares you straight in the face and you'll see it coming it from the first major encounter. To top it all off.. it's just not scary. Not a single scene is cleverly done, there's no time spent creating an atmosphere, all the 'horror' is in death scenes in which ALL scenes feature dramatic cuts away from the action on time of death to ensure no money had to be spent on CGI to show the injury being sustained. If you're thinking of watching this, don't, get on Prime and watch the original, an actual horror film!

An interesting story in its original form, with the purpose and explanation laying in the wider myth surrounding the relationship between King Arthur and his nemesis sorceress sister Morgana. The trouble is, adapting the story to remove this foundation means the entire story is rather pointless and the watcher will be left dumbfounded with no explanation, and leaves huge segments such as the Lord and Lady's Castle completely meaningless. Many of the journey scenes added also serve no purpose, and although they may have nice ties with other British tales, they don't add to anything, nor serve as any interest to the viewer. I give two stars because it does offer a nice story of chivalry and honour, with Gawain venturing out from comfort on his epic quest, eventually (unlike the original) fulfilling his end of the bargain. However, as thoughtfully planned out as most scenes were, they didn't serve much purpose and without background knowledge of these tales would mean even less.

Absolutely dumbfounded by the positive response. The plot is infuriatingly stupid. Characters make decisions that no mentally competent human being would make. The only reason this show exists passed the first episode is because the surrounding world stays ridiculously blind to all the evil plots going on in front of them. A child tells you they're being abused by their guardian? "Hold on, I see an interesting cloud over there". A 50+ year old man tries to marry and seduce his by-law 12 year old daughter? "That's pretty bad.. but not quite worth my intervention". The acting is poor and obnoxious, the comedy is childish and cheesy, and the plot will give you an aneurysm. The only saving grace is Patrick Warburton's monologue.

Exceptional gameplay, incredible graphics - and most importantly, one of the greatest stories of gaming history. TLOU2 is dark, gritty, incredibly emotional and the most morally thought provoking game ever released - the simple explanation for the mass criticism? The story doesn't go where 'fans' WANT it to go. That is exactly what makes it so extraordinary. The real world has never been captured so perfectly. Sometimes the world is awful, brutal, cruel and unforgiving. But so perfectly, throughout this tragic story, we see life's glimpses of hope, beauty, love and friendship. Prepare to question everything you thought you believed about heroism, vengeance and your own moral compass. Best. Game. Ever. Made.

Feature length cringe compilation.

Generic and relatively uneventful slasher movie plot, disappointingly familiar character archetypes, painfully amateur cinematography and editing, and some 'stop talking and just show me some death scenes' level dialogue. I'm baffled how this film has such positive feedback. The common themes of praise I see repeated are areas I'd say were clear weaknesses. "The script is very well made and Tarantino-like!" and "The film is brutal, the violence and gore are great!" Sorry, what? There isn't a scene with dialogue that offers any interesting development for the story or characters. The few main actors manage to sell it well with their acting skills, but with the more amateur actors, the mundaneness of the script shines through clearly. As far as gore goes, the effects are god-awful, which is distracting enough to take all impact away from the scenes. The violence is generally extremely lacklustre, except for one very brutal death scene near the end of the movie. I have no idea how adults claim to find this disturbing when it's more laughable than unsettling. Basic films like Wrong Turn have more complex plots, creepier atmospheres and better violence than this movie. Please, give it a watch and see for yourself.

A woke glorification project for a fraud who scammed people out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. She is portrayed as smart, driven, special "chasing the modern American dream". The characters celebrate her immoral actions and worship her 'success' in gaining fame, completely unfazed by how she achieved it. Mix this with the dim political jabs, the worst soundtrack you'll ever hear, dialogue you'd only expect to hear from 16 year old girls, and constant desperate attempts to show 'female empowerment' for the most unfitting people / actions... You'd do well to avoid this trash. Pure fiction is concocted unnecessarily in place of a recent, well documented true story to give people an entertaining 'grifters story' they can rally behind , all the while spitting on the victims of her crimes, portraying them as stupid or evil for having clawed any goodness from the situation, and outright refusing to acknowledge what Anna did was anything worse than an innocent young girl with a dream. All to peddle their vision of a hero grifter that it so desperately needs you all to stand behind. Characters are used and abused left right and centre.. and for whatever reason they are literally throwing their families to the sideline to stand up for and swoon over.. it makes absolutely no sense. The reality of the story just does not fit with the story they so desperately wanted to make. Can you imagine Shondaland making Tinder Swindler? Worshipping Simon Leviev for his 'hustle', painting all his victims as evil for having financially benefitted from featuring on the Netflix doc? Oh, what's that? His victims lives were ruined, they lost their homes, they were driven to suicidal thoughts? DON'T CARE! That's our guy, Simon. What a clever little hustler, you've got to admire him.. right? He's famous now.. and fame is everything.. right? Doesn't matter how you get it, unethical crimes and abuse of trust is nothing when you get attention for it.. right? Shondaland should be ashamed of their PR project for a con woman and blatant absence or understanding of ethics.
