Outstanding movie, embellished by great acting by Tilottama Shome and Vivek Gomber. Rohena Gera's screenplay and Direction are superb. It shows that in urban India the kind of regressive life and customs that prevail in villages is slowly fading. Caste and language differences are sublimated into primarily class differences. Yet, humanity does prevail and class divides can get bridged. SIR also shows that in India today there is room for heartwarming movies. In an environment where oomph, violence, mindless jingoism and crass humour are the norm for films, SIR is refreshingly different. And for the better.
