The movie is great and makes valid points. I see abunch of conservatives not liking the movie so much, but as a conservative myself I enjoyed it.
I feel like the reason republicans disliked it so much is because the story chose to use a more republican base presidency and crowd, when it had to be one of the two major groups, it would have been equally unlike if they used democrats and that kind of crowd.
If you have to tie this movie to a political agenda, you literally missed the point of this movie. The point of this movie is to illustrate our media, government, and the way we go about progression in politics is toxic, not just on our leaders, but on us as well.
We may not have a comet right now, but we as a nation, and we as a world have many more serious problems we overlook due to our political biases. Your sexuality, your gender, your race, abortion, right or wrong, what ever you believe, is not nearly as important as global warming, homelessness/starvation, possible Ukraine invasion, possible Taiwan invasion. Let's focus on the issues that result in mass deaths and major decreases in life styles before we address the minor issues.
