We have watched several times and love to introduce friends to this epic film. Such an efficient telling of the forces surrounding the throne in medieval England, but timeless in its commentary on character and true courage. So much truth about human nature and the forces that shape a nation and define the individual. Honor, sacrifice, integrity and loyalty are just a few of the pearls personified by King Hal...Throw in decisiveness and discernment and discretion too. Even his faults serve as foils for the failure of his father, until his rise to rule sets his essential rightness free to reign.
