It's a nice piece of nostalgia to the Rollcage/Wipeout era but has the following cons. 1. Overpowered AI, you spin out once early on in the campaign tournaments and it's unlikely you'll place 1st in the 2 laps. 2. Simplistic design, even docked on a Nintendo Switch it looks like a PS2 game, it's not stunning to play. 3. The speed, it feels slow as... conpared to burnout and evwn kart racing games I feel like nearly every track is holding accelerate the entire time with only a few and minor adjustments
Overall I'd almost rather pick up rollcage, the music was catchy and the sound affects really kept you hocked. It was so cool to have an entire building explode sending you and opponents flying, this is all lacking in Grip where you end up hearing general whirring noises of the cars and generic sound effects of the weapons
