Spoilers! Honestly, I’m really disappointed by this book and I had great expectations(which I got from google reviews only) from it that certainly did not meet. It has a good plot. I think that the Atlanteans and the vamprys(ascended) are somewhat like the vampires from the vampire diaries. Firstly all of them need blood to survive, the atlanteans need the blood of an atlantean and the ascended and vampires need human blood. The atlanteans and vampires can heal themselves and other from their blood. All of them are immortal (tho atlanteans are not immortal but they can be if they take care). And I don’t mean to be judgy but this does mean that the author got inspiration or took the idea from that series and i don’t like copying. Plus the plot as I said is good, it’s just poorly executed. Like the author has many typos in ppls spellings and a lot of info has been repeated over and over. Also the books don’t connection each other. So I would recommend to only read it if u don’t have many expectations then u can read it.

This book is something that hooked me up from the first line only and it kept going better and better each chapter. I personally liked the growth of Alessandra (main character in whose POV the book is written) and her personality. It has romance and suspense and angst and for me it proved to be a very very very great book and right now I’m upset that I’ve finished it. It’s a YA fantasy standalone and honestly I never thought I would find one which has a good plot, is not rushed and shows character development. If u too like me are looking for a ya standalone then this is a must read for you. I would rate it a 12+. It has a few kissing scenes(with clothes) and a bit of violence though it’s not described that much but if you’re uncomfortable to it then u can skip it. I loved this book and I’m down to read another books from the author too!
