Sadly the development team who got this must never have played a metroidvania. Half the people reviewing it have not played one before. If your a hardcore fan you will play it anyways, but this game doesn't have the soul of a metroid game it feals like it's just been released with that name for extra sales. As a long time fan this feals more like one of the imitations than an actual metroid game. Hollow knight set the new standard and dread just cannot even stand in the same league, feals like forgotten barging bin material.
