A pointless attempt at an oversaturated genre. The film offers no originality and struggles to find an identity, not being able to decide if it's a Zombieland style romp, serious action movie or a heist flick. Despite a run time of over 2.5 hours little to no characterisation is attempted and there's no reason for us to give a damn about all the squad; I believe the actors did the best they could with the trash script they were given, shout outs to Notaro, Hardwick and Schweighöfer for forcing the dialogue to work. Do yourself a favour and watch Snyder's Dawn Of The Dead reboot, it's streaks above this nonsense. If you want a shorter zombie movie and aren't interested in social commentary then dig out Return of the Living Dead.
