Yes, it could be little "rah rah girl power" at times, but the things the main characters dealt with, even putting aside the mafia stuff, are relatable for a lot of women. Was it the most thought provoking film with the most amazing plot ever? No. But neither are the approximately five million films of similar substance starring groups of men living out masculine tropes. It was an entertaining film, with a little bit of sex, a whole lot of violence, and interesting character development. I went to see it with my mother, and we got our money's worth. The pacing near the end wasn't ideal, but it wasn't bad. We appreciated seeing perspectives we shared actually being portrayed in a genre in which women are often set-pieces or plot drivers instead of fleshed-out characters in their own right. I'd watch it again.
