I loved Born a Crime!! Iโm reading it a second time to refresh my memory for our book club discussion. Noahโs autobiography is extremely funny and entertaining, although growing up in the 80โs under the racist Apartheid rule wasnโt! Itโs a story of a mother and son team ( an Atticus-Scout relationship in a way ) navigating their way through the challenging and complicated society of South Africa in the 80โs. One of the themes I could relate to was โfitting inโ. Trevor said it was easier for him to be โan insider as an outsider than to be an outsider as an insider.โ Worth reading!
