It's contemporary nature is refreshing. The economic meltdown, business going away to China, workers retrenched give a bleak picture of France beneath the Glitz n glamour. But filmwise it's too Hollywoodian. The French flavour of yesteryear is missing. Say 20 years ago a French director would have made the same film in a different way.
