Thought I'd share my opinion on this season so far. For background, I've been a regular consumer of this product and historically enjoyed it immensely. The critique of the contestants while harsh, has been on point and appeared clearly intended to find the best chef among a cast of extreme talent.
This season however has been the antithesis of previous seasons. The subtraction of a host and addition of another has created a chemistry that does not translate. While I'm sure she is extremely talented; something she demonstrated while competing her arrogance seems unwarranted. In some industries, one would say "have a cup of coffee in my shoes, before you proffer your opinion".
Lastly, the Last Chance Kitchen episode in which the chef chose not to compete was a wake up call for the hosts. I thought her courage and willingness to walk away from the potential fame associated with winning the contest was both commendable and a statement.
You missed the boat on the restaurant wars and critiques of many of the contestants so far. If they're as bad as you make them appear, you've chosen the wrong contestants. Gotta be better than this.
