The lighting and sets are just historical. It is a really bad mix between Tim Burton's batman and Blade Runner. Makes the movie impossible to take seriously in any fashion.

Complete art house drivel. Had some opportunities but were squandered on rather low class horror.

It tried. I tried. They offered very little in the way of continuity. If the future means space travel and missions are this poorly planned and run, then the human race is doomed anyway.
