To Joe and Mika, I am an independent progressive who is 'left leaning' but will always support a great idea regardless of the party who comes up with it. I am an ardent viewer of your show because I align with your opinions and the opinions of the guests and commentators you have on. I was shocked to hear your opinion of Elon Musk when Time magazine chose Elon Musk as man of the year 2021. I was shocked to hear you both describe him as a capitalist. I'm not sure how much you know about Elon Musk and his goal in life, but I would ask you both to do your own, as well as have your staff do, study of Elon Musk. Like you both, he has a goal, like you Mika, who wants to empower women (Know your value) etc. and you Joe, who wants to save Republicanism and democracy, Elon Musk's goal is to save Humanity, do you see the difference??? You tried to compare one of the greatest minds of the last 200 hundred years with the 'judges and capital hill police' for Times choice??? Ouch! You missed it! Musk's goal is to make man a multi-planet being! That's it! Because he has a mind that takes in the information we have now and can come up with a very clear projection of where mankind is headed, extinction! You believe his capitalist endeavors are for money??? You got it so wrong, so badly. It pained me to hear intelligent people completely misunderstand what Elon Musk is doing for the earth, the world, society and humanity all in this one person's lifetime! Do your homework, don't listen to Elizabeth Warren, she too has missed the greatness of Elon Musk by thinking of him as a billionaire, Musk does not care about money, money is a by-product of his moving human transportation from fossil fuel vehicles to eco-friendly electric vehicles. Musk earning money from NASA and others is only a by-product of him perfecting a vehicle to get man to another planet so we can have a chance at prolonging mankind. Musk investing in solar panels, battery storage and charging facilities across the entire world to use the freely given Suns' energy to shut down polluting power plants again is a by-product of turning back the warming of the Earth. I'm sorry that you don't see the value of this one man! You think he's a capitalist! You think he is a billionaire! You need to bring him on your show and ask him all the questions you have and then draw a conclusion as to who Elon Musk is and then, hopefully, you will see why he is Time's person of the year 2021 and why one day he will be 'Person of this Century'.
