I’m a big fan of shark movies, i’ll watch any one i can get my hands on. But this one was downright disappointing. The ending was anticlimactic and dull, there was no real shark action, you didn’t even see the people getting bitten, and the whole production and filming looked very low budget. Looking for a sleepover scary shark movie to watch? I recommend 47 metres down: uncaged. Looking for a shark movie that is still scientific and makes sense? The Meg. This movie was unrealistic, not scary, and not thrilling.

This is one of my favorite horror movies. It puts a fresh twist on the ‘teens in the woods’ trope. I very much enjoyed it.

The story is very bland and predictable, and the only scenes where i felt engaged and interested were the scary scenes. It’s fine as a creepy movie to watch at a sleepover party, but if you’re looking for a movie that will engage you while still maintaining the fear factor, i would recommend Cabin in the Woods, or It.
