Most of the reviews I’ve read are hilarious. It boggles my mind as to what people expect a lone survivor’s ‘end of the world’ existence to both look and sound like, even when paired with a ‘less set in their ways’ personality. Reading the preview alone will make it very obvious to the viewer that the movie will be both slow and quiet. It’s a story of survival, tolerance, healing, friendship, loyalty and adversity in a post apocalyptic world that focuses on the relationship between Del and Grace. Dramas are rarely about the action and in this flick, the performances are exceptional and the cinematography is both eerie and haunting. If you want something more fast paced, get in line with the rest of the sheep and go watch Bumble Bee and if your simple minds are entertained by zombies that just appear out of nowhere every time a camera pans around a corner, then maybe The Walking Dead is more your speed.
