The story was compelling but the pace of the film was too slow for my taste. More time should have been devoted to exploring Nicholas' character in place of reminiscent scenes boating. With that bring said, I watched the entire film but it took me 2.5 hours to do it.

Too slow, I gave up after 30 minutes. I was hoping for more based on the story and the cast.

Watched the 1st episode and was not impressed and decided I can find something else to do with an hour of my time. The actors are all easy on the eyes, but they need to work on their acting skills. Within the 1st episode there was a prison release, a gun dual, elder abuse, sister rivalry, adultery, murder & strippers - that I can remember. That's alot - and not in a good way. After reading all of the rave reviews, I figured I must have missed something. So I'm going to re-watch episode 1. Maybe I see something different.

I watched the film because of all of the hype, but IMO it's a fail. I continued to watch hoping Leda's story & her relationship with her daughters would be revealed in more depth, but it wasn't.

Movie was visually pleasing and soundtrack was good, but that's about it. Storyline has been done before, but was still hoping to be entertained. The story and scene transition was poorly developed.
