When I first went to see this, I was completely rejecting this movie. I already hated how little work there was in Miles character from the Ultimate comics compared to Peter's character, and this movie from the first trailers had me thinking they were just doing another attempt to market their other Spider-people characters. But as I watch through this movie and see the heart and motivation that was finally being put into Miles character, this whole movie started to feel like a blessing in disguise. However, I feel like this movie could have done without Peni and Noir and even Porker. But in the end, it really helps the concept the writers were going for while also keeping up a consistent tone. I love this more than anything, (maybe not as much as the Sam Raimi trilogy) but these guys finally met the standards of a good spider-man movie and even gave us a look at what Peter looks like at the top of his game compared to the one who is a broken man who probably has nothing left to fight for. Even the music was a perfect fit, even if I don't like hip hop. It felt like the perfect choice and it really helped give the movie it's own identity.
