Ok so basically: a hot, rich and powerful man tries to make this pretty and vulnerable girl fall in love with him through dominant sex even though the girl is already in love with him at first sight because: he’s a hot, rich and powerful man and she’s vulnerable- we’ve been through this- but she doesn’t show it straight away, instead teases him before she gives in as she was planning on doing anyway from the very start. He’s given a bj within what felt like the first 10 minutes on a plane by some random girl and then like 50 more and then from like the halfway point, there’s a sex scene every 2 minutes. Couldn’t finish, extremely uncomfortable. If it’s what you’re into, ok. Watch it?

I was going to list important details left out in the movie compared to the book but it was taking forever. Read the book. It’s better than the movie. You understand the characters more, especially Finch, and see Violet progress and heal. I cried with the book, yet the movie didn’t even make me smile OR cry. Just made me mad.
