A decent movie that sets up the franchise very well. Great to see a female led cast with a good storyline too.
Good to see Harry Melling especially after his fine turn in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. The rest of the team are all strong it was good to see how well handled the LGBTQI+ characters were.
Only spoiled by the use of a poor selection of music. If you don't enjoy modern tunes (like me) then you'll find it jarring. I'm guessing the director was ok with it but for me it felt unnecessary and took away some of the positive work that had been done on the movie.
Also, strange use of supporting artists in one of the final scenes.
Nice set up for the sequel at the end and on the whole an enjoyable film.
