I binged watched this show in one night! This show is truly my favorite, I have watched it three times within the week. There are so many amazing aspects of the show I am scared that I am going to forget something. The casting is amazing, it is one of the more diverse shows I've seen and it's fun to guess which language the dialogue is going to be spoken in next. I really like how the cast is age-appropriate for the show, they look like high schoolers. There are different skin textures and it makes the viewer realize that acne and scars are normal and the way they look is beautiful. Everyone doesn't have perfect skin with their hair blown out and smokey eyes. There is an accurate representation of someone who is neurodivergent! All the characters have different body types and they are not all slim and tall. One of my favorite characters, Felice, doesn't have the body type of a victoria secret supermodel and she is perfect, everyone thinks she is perfect and I think that is something that needs to be seen more in TV shows. There were a few times weight was mentioned but it was never in a way that said that these girls had to change the way they looked, they all were considered beautiful nor was that the main conflict for Felice, hers was diverging from her mother's traditions and becoming her own person. And how can we not forget that this is literally about a gay prince and him dealing with the responsibilities of being a prince, upholding a legacy, and dealing with the pressure to be something he is not when all he wants to do is be with Simon. I was so sad when the season was only 6 episodes long. There has been a lot of character development and learning about all the characters but I feel like a second season would solidify everything and help make the plot more interesting. It goes without saying I really hope there is going to be a second season and I can't wait to see where all the character's relationships go from there.
