Beautifully written; descriptions and metaphors flow from her mind like a running brook. Accurate descriptions of life in the City from the 30’s through the 60’s. Repressing one’s feelings was not only true of the Wasps but other cultures. This is an overflow from the Victorian era when repression reigned supreme. Entertaining plot. One keeps reading to learn what happens to the likable and (some even admirable) characters.
