Wade Murdock – Google

EDIT: In the middle of Season 2. My interest has rapidly declined, a lot of the novelty and mystery is gone, and it's definitely difficult to keep up with plot points, or remain interested enough in them to follow along. Now that I'm jaded to all the little things that made the show cool and unique, it feels a lot more like just watching a team go through another day at the office each episode. There's a lot of unprecise dialogue, which I found to be a benefit in the first season, but because the underlying plot is often relatively uninteresting in the 2nd, it's harder to find the motivation to follow along with the character's conversations. I, too, feel dumb and lost now. And the show feels a bit more weak. ----- It is SOOO hard to find good acting on Netflix. Like nauseatingly difficult. Finally I found a show that has it. Not only that, but this show also has great writing and production, to boot. I love scifi shows like these. X-Files, the 4400, this show....I can't get enough. Like others mentioned, I love that it is respectful of your intelligence and doesn't turn your brain numb by explaining concepts to the viewer as if you're a child. The only things I can't stand is how slow-moving the soldiers were to turn the key at the end of S1E6, when the travelers surely knew they were going to get shot if they didn't move fast enough (not that it ends up mattering, and it all was part of the plan anyway), and Trevor's raspy voice :( (which obviously makes me look bad to say) AND CRYING BABIES!!!!!!

The host is sooooo funny and wholesome. He makes the show so cute and innocent and fun. He borderline gives it a kid's show vibe but in the best way possible. It's just such a fun show overall. The only downside is that some contestants get stuck on the bench for too long and get few opportunities to contest "Shewolf2738 Samantha" 's comment is disgusting and homophobic. She's completely blinded by her own bigotry. Andrew had great talent; he wasn't pampered because of his orientation; such a weird and sad thing to say.

Too easy. If there were more punishing knock-outs & deaths (like fewer and more spaced-out checkpoints/saves & requiring much more time/effort to revive yourself), along with harder enemies, then would be great. The formula's there: great graphics, good side-stories & mini-games, interesting-enough fighting/platforming mechanics that constantly evolve... I guess it's a cute easy hubby/wifey parent/child game; beginner-friendly... Oh--it has some of the most ridiculously cliche writing I've ever had to suffer through in post-2020 media--at least in regards to the base storyline. (The side-stories are fine.) A couple working through marriage problems with a depressed self-blaming child? Eesh...I honestly did NOT expect that bleak storyline at all, based on the colorful, cheery footage I'd seen thus far. Apart from cliche, having to hear a couple bicker in a video game is cringe, annoying, and depressing

So boring. Deep love with animals is nothing novel. Should’ve been one of those 3-minute Facebook Dodo videos instead of a freaking Netflix documentary. And reminded me of a circa 2009 YouTube comment that scarred my child mind of a guy talking about how he has s*x with his squid every day and it’s the most orgasm*c thing ever. I remember feeling my 14-year-old brain spiraling into a dark squiddy abyss of panic and distress. And Why are 3 of the recent reviews just copypastas of each other??

So much beautiful thought and effort was obviously put into this. Astounding, convincing acting. Beautifully drab and ethereal environment. That's why it's so tragic how contrived and rushed the ending felt. ****SPOILERS AHEAD**** The changelings are fully functional living creatures. I understand their purpose as tools to teach lessons to the "real" humans, but they--and the "real" humans who kill them or deliberately let them die--are far too flippant about the value of human[-like] life, to the point where their deaths--self-inflicted or otherwise--are distractingly unbelievable. So many characters couldn't so easily make the decision to end someone's life. On top of feeling implausible, the ending felt abrupt and premature. I remember also being annoyed at how slowly characters took to accept that the changelings were indeed clones/resurrected loved ones. I feel like real people would have freaked out and talked about more sci-fi-esque theories of what's going on with each other immediately. Bonus: "Aren't you a scientist??" I almost completely stopped watching at that line. LMFAO.

(The movie is currently zoomed in on a dog's waste while I write this.) There are no deeply intriguing or engaging moments. The film has an intentionally seemingly aimless/meandering lack of direction, mirroring the lives of the stray dogs it follows. (Though narratives form as it progresses.) I could not appreciate this film style. The life of a stray dog--at least what the film portrayed of it--was not curious enough to hold my attention. I'm not sure what mentality or tastes are required to appreciate the film as intended, but I personally lack them. If you have no connection with Turkey at all and have no particular passion about dogs, nor appreciate the "laissez-faire" or "slice-of-life" styles of media, this might be a waste of your time as well.

I loved it! It is SO hard to find media that I enjoy. This is probably my favorite movie now. The only part that bothered me was how distractingly beautiful the primary antagonist was at the end. I know that's THE POINT, but his soft and pretty, handsome face made me jump out of my immersion. I all the sudden felt like I was watching an actor trying to play a role that doesn't fit his appearance, rather than seeing the character himself.
